The Dons made it 6 consecutive wins in their second game back at Plough Lane. The Dons ended up 3-2 victors against Chesham United in the FAWNL Plate.

The Dons got off to another flying start when Megan Stow gave the dons the lead with a fine finish after only 10 minutes. The Dons had an equally good start to the second half when Rebecca Sargent doubled the Dons lead on the 50-minute mark heading home from a close range from a corner. Things got even better from the Dons when Ashlee Hincks set up Katie Stanley to give the Dons a 3-0 lead on the hour mark. Despite going 3 down Chesham kept going and an incredible finish from long range by Gemma Fraser gave Chesham a glimmer of hope with 10 minutes to go. Chesham added a second less than two minutes later with Anneka Nuttall ensuring the Dons were in for a nervy finish. The Dons rallied after this and were able to see out a 3-2 victory.

Manager Kevin Foster said "I think we saw a bit of fatigue and tiredness after we had last Sunday off and two Sundays before that we had another game off. Hopefully, we can start to build some momentum, keep getting games back here and keep playing"

Player of the match Megan Stow said "We started the game well, but we still weren't getting out of second gear. They started coming out in the 60th or 70th minute got 2 quick goals but with the 3 which could have been a lot more, I had a few chances, keeper did well. But all-round we got the win and that's all that matters"

Next up for the Dons is a trip to Millwall Lionesses in the 1st Round of Vitality Womens FA Cup on Sunday 14th November 2pm Kickoff.
