Newly appointed Manager, Kevin Foster in repose to the below spread in the men's match day programme reflecting on the recognition of those in the Ladies set up, "As we look forward it is Important we recognise the services of others that have got the club where it is today, Chris Lyons serviced 5 years to the club and got the ladies where they are today, he has made my job a lot easier with what he has left behind. Dennis Lowndes who we all know around the club and is one of AFC Wimbledon's originals has supported both ladies and girls allowing many ages to play grassroots football and develop into fine talented aspiring footballers.
I must correct the programme before Jess Trimmell reads the sentence and sees the word retired!! I can say that this is most definitely not the last we have seen of her in a blue and yellow Don's kit. She has been a fantastic servant to the club spending 5 years as club captain and being part of numerous promotions and successful cup runs. Jess is currently recharging her batteries and will be back so watch this space...
Last but not least we say goodbye to John Ivers who has been behind the scenes for over 12 years servicing the club in numerous capacities; lastly as the ladies secretary. I do hope to see John Ivers down supporting the ladies and enjoying a "chuffing Ale". Thank you to all of those past and present who have had such a huge impact on the ladies programme and I look forward to what I can now offer and see how far we can go from here."
