A Players Pathway from Juniors to First Team | Charlotte Flood

Having seen Rosie Russell last year not just make her way into the 1st team but pick up most improved and young player of the year it was no suprise that we haven't waited long for yet another hugely talented young footballer to be part of the 1st team squad.

Charlotte Flood having played under Debbie Francis for the U16s has been able to continue her excellent goalscoring record from junior football to the seniors with 2 goals in the FA cup and gain many valuable minutes around the 1st team senior players.

Kevin Foster AFC Ladies Manager "Charlotte is an exceptional talent that we must look after and make sure she is able to continue to develop in an environment that is fun and pressure free. Charlotte is a natural finisher who has great composure in and around the box, to add to this she has a great maturity in how she conducts herself around the group and will continue to learn off the likes of Katie Stanley and Helen Ogle"

Charlotte has come on and played in the last 7 matches for AFC Wimbledon having also come through the reserves. With Abdullah Kheir taking up the role as head of Football for the Junior section and being Head Coach of the 1st team means the link between the juniors and seniors is as strong as it has ever been allowing a clear pathway for young talented juniors to progress into reserves and finally making the step to 1st team football.

Please see Flood's interview on her move up to the first team.
