Liz came to the club at the beginning of the season joining a squad that has seen many changes. Liz had a challenging start to the season; nursing a serious knee injury that kept her out for a lengthy period of time, she remained patient and worked hard to gain match fitness.
Her determination and endeavour to strive to get back playing is a quality Liz should be proud of. Liz has adapted to our way of playing, retaining the ball and supporting play as well as terrifying defenders with her pace and ability to skip past them effortlessly.
Liz has quickly become a valuable member of the squad; on and off the pitch! Her bubbly personality and sporadic outbursts of questionable dance moves, highlight why she is great to have at training and in the changing rooms on match days. Known for her moments of comical comments and unintentional humour, Liz has settled into life at AFC Wimbledon seamlessly.
Liz is also currently juggling (not just a football) an internship, part time job and a masters; a reflection of her determination and hard work!
During pre season Liz also completed a triathlon raising money for a charity that is close to her heart, successfully finishing within her intended time... SUPER LIZZO!!
We have seen such a fantastic development in a player that seemed low in confidence and often too hard on herself. Liz is now starting to show the potential she possesses and we are confident this will continue for the rest of the season aiding our push for success.
