During an extensive trawl for new talent, we are delighted to welcome Kevin Foster as our new first-team manager. Kevin was head coach with us until November 2018, when he left to become academy manager and head of ladies’ football at Walton Casuals. Kevin is Head of PE at Shrewsbury House and has supported AFC Wimbledon since boyhood.

Appointing Kevin has given us the opportunity to take a fresh look at the coaching set-up, and together we decided to invite Abdoullah Kheir (“Abs”) as Ladies coach. Abs comes with a wealth of experience from his time with the AFC Wimbledon Girls U16 team, and has already started to implement more variety and new ideas into his coaching.

Very pleased to announce that GK coach John Parker will continue his role at the club. John has been here for 12 years now and knows the club inside out.

Kevin Foster "After settling back to life at AFC Wimbledon It feels like never being away and what an exciting time to be apart of the club. With the men staying in league 1 and Plough Lane starting to take shape it is now hugely important the ladies start to build their own profile within the club. The staff of the ladies over the summer has grown instantly with Abdullah Kheir an UEFA B coach who has been around the club and ladies football, John Parker as GK coach who is now really Mr AFC ladies having been at the club over 10 years in numerous roles and our newest additions that are so new didnt make the photo in Kevin Finnerty a UEFA A coach who has a vast amount of experience across all football and Chris Thorpe our new Video Analyst who will aid the quality of support we are able to give to the ladies."
